At the heart of everything we do is a simple mission: to empower children to become confident, capable, and resilient individuals. With over a decade of experience working with youth across sports, tutoring, behavioral challenges, special needs, and children from all walks of life — including those navigating bullying, divorce, emotional struggles, tempers, and difficulty listening — We’ve seen firsthand how the right guidance can transform a child’s life.
Every session we lead is about more than skills and technique — it’s about building lifelong tools: discipline, leadership, confidence, emotional regulation, and the ability to make healthy choices that last well beyond the field, classroom, or practice. We believe every child has untapped potential, and my goal is to unlock it, nurturing growth in ways that are both meaningful and lasting.
Here, coaching isn’t just about results — it’s about creating a foundation for success, character, and a life full of possibilities. Together, we don’t just train; we transform.

Real stories. Real growth. Our keiki are leveling up on and off the field — with guidance, aloha, and personalized support every step of the way.
"Sports Jreams is an amazing program. My daughter, who was previously afraid to put her head in the water at other swim schools, overcame this fear within just one lesson thanks to Joshua. He creates a fun learning environment and possesses the essential qualities of a swim instructor: knowledge, kindness, warmth, and the ability to build trust. More than just teaching her to swim, Joshua instilled a love for the sport, which has led her to join the swim team."
"Joshua is also an exceptionally patient and attentive instructor. He has a remarkable ability to connect with children, even those with learning differences and ADHD, like my daughter. He effectively refocused her attention and made learning to swim an enjoyable experience. Joshua consistently challenged and motivated her to improve her skills, learn new strokes, and increase her stamina. I couldn't recommend him more highly."
"My son Raymond (age 7 with Down Syndrome) has now had 2 lessons with Mr Josh. I just wanted to take a minute to say how amazing our experience has been. We’ve had Raymond at the local YMCA since last April and the teacher just carried him around in the water. From our first minute of lessons here Mr Josh began teaching Raymond how to swim. You could easily see how high his expectations were for Ray and he accomplished more in that half an hour than he has in 6 months. Additionally, he was calm and patient with Raymond throughout the lesson.
Raymond responded so well to being taught this way and left the lesson feeling happy and proud of himself. He talks about Mr Josh at home and even asked to do sink or float experiments with his toys this past weekend. On one final note, Mr Josh also speaks to Raymond as if he’s the most intelligent person in the world. He explains things to him. It’s so beautiful to see other people treat Raymond the way we see him. I don’t know Mr Josh’s background experience or future aspirations but he has been a blessing for us to meet and to have as part of Raymond’s team!"
ever!
"Mr. Joshua has been an incredible swim instructor for all three of my children! He first started working with my oldest when they were just 4 months old, and later taught my other two after they turned 1. His patience, expertise, and deep understanding of early childhood development made all the difference in their confidence and skill in the water.
Not only is he knowledgeable, but he also has a special way of making lessons engaging and fun while ensuring safety remains a top priority. Thanks to his guidance, my children have not only become strong swimmers but have also developed a true love for the water. I am beyond grateful for his dedication and highly recommend him to any parent looking for an exceptional swim instructor!"

I grew up in Northern New Jersey, and sports were the reason I stayed on the right path. They kept me out of trouble, helped me raise my grades, and taught me how to lead. Those early experiences shaped me, and by 18 I became the youngest Unit Director in Boys & Girls Clubs of America—a role that showed me how much I loved guiding kids.
When I transitioned into teaching swim lessons, everything changed. I watched children face fear every single day. I learned how to understand where that fear came from and how to help both kids and parents overcome it. Seeing a child break through a fear—one they thought was impossible—showed me the true power of confidence, patience, and the right kind of coaching.
Those moments turned me into the youth development specialist I am today. Not just someone who teaches skills, but someone who helps kids grow into stronger, kinder, more confident versions of themselves.
Now in Waimea, as the Head Coach for Parker Middle School Basketball and Assistant Coach for the High School team, I’m grateful to bring over a decade of coaching experience to this community. I’ve coached basketball, golf, and swim, but more importantly—I’ve coached character, discipline, and belief.
This one-on-one training program is my way of giving back. It’s a chance to pour into our keiki the same way others once poured into me.
I’m here to help them rise—on the court, in life, and as future alakaʻi of our community.
